The Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing team. This role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of major projects and the chance to provide commercial leadership throughout the full project lifecycle.

Working closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants, and contractors, you will be responsible for cost planning, commercial management, procurement strategy, contract administration, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement. You will also play a key role in mentoring emerging team members and contributing to best-practice commercial delivery.

This position is ideal for a proven Senior Quantity Surveyor or an ambitious Intermediate QS ready to step into a senior role and accelerate their career.

Skills and Experience Required

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management, or similar
• 7+ years' experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or commercial project delivery
• Strong experience across commercial construction, healthcare, infrastructure, education, or institutional projects
• Excellent knowledge of New Zealand construction contracts and procurement methodologies
• Demonstrated success managing project budgets from feasibility through to final account
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on project delivery
• High levels of commercial acumen, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability
• A collaborative approach and desire to contribute positively to team culture and client relationships
