Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Toome, Co. Antrim

Key Activities:

• Estimating duties
• Agree accurate rates with suppliers and subcontractors
• Appoint and agree suitable lead-in times to enable smooth transfer of the package to site managers
• Accurate measuring and recording of work packages onsite
• Attend site progress meetings and technical meetings as required
• Ensure subcontractors are appointed in the appropriate manner with attention to health and safety requirements
• Maintain, budgets and as built cost schedules
• Produce cost forecast reports and valuation submissions

Essential Criteria:

• You will hold a third level qualification
• Valid driver’s licence
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying Role - ideally with a main contractor
• Demonstrable experience of estimating, sourcing and delivering in the costing of construction project
• Working knowledge of forms of contract such as NEC3 and JCT will be a necessity
• High level of computer literacy - experience of using the Microsoft Office Suite
• Must demonstrate the ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and technical specifications
• Experience in residential, commercial and fit out projects
