  • Manage tender processes, including the preparation of tender documentation, analysis of submissions and recommendations.
  • Provide cost advice, value engineering and commercial solutions to support client objectives.
  • Monitor project expenditure, assess variations and identify potential cost risks.
  • Administer contracts and assess progress claims, variations and final accounts where required.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts, cost reports and financial assessments for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, contractors and other consultants to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Manage project deliverables, ensuring work is completed accurately, commercially and within agreed timeframes.
  • Support and mentor junior quantity surveyors, sharing technical knowledge and promoting best practice.
  • Assist with client development and contribute to maintaining and strengthening key client relationships.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Quantity Surveying or Cost Management role, ideally at Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
  • Strong experience in cost planning, estimating, procurement, tender analysis and cost reporting.
  • Sound knowledge of construction contracts, commercial risk and project cost control.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and provide clear, practical commercial advice.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant cost planning, measurement and project management software.
