Senior R&D Executive

About the role

Senior R&D Executive role focused on developing and improving food products and formulations, conducting laboratory trials, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve new food products and formulations
• Conduct laboratory trials, product testing and sensory evaluation
• Improve existing products based on quality, cost and customer requirements
• Prepare formulations, product specifications and R&D reports
• Conduct raw material and ingredient evaluation
• Perform product costing and formulation optimisation
• Coordinate product trials with Production, QA/QC and Purchasing
• Conduct shelf-life and stability studies
• Support production scale-up from laboratory trials
• Ensure products comply with Halal, HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry or related field
• 3–6 years of relevant R&D experience, preferably in food manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of food formulation and product development
• Experience in sauces, pastes, seasonings, beverages or FMCG is an advantage
• Knowledge of Halal, HACCP and GMP
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to conduct product trials independently
• Good communication and teamwork skills
