Senior React / Next.js Developer | Contract

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join a technology project based in Sydney. The role will focus primarily on developing modern, scalable web applications using ReactJS and Next.js, with strong exposure to AWS and CI/CD.

The successful candidate will work closely with technical and product teams to design, develop, integrate and support high-quality applications following modern software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, responsive and high-performing web applications using ReactJS and Next.js.
• Build reusable and maintainable frontend components and application features.
• Develop and integrate APIs and backend services to support web applications.
• Deploy and manage applications within AWS environments.
• Develop, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot application issues and improve performance, reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners and other stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Follow best practices around coding standards, testing, security and application performance.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support application deployment and production issues as required.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience is required for this position.
• Strong hands-on experience with ReactJS / React.js.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js / NextJS.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend development and responsive web applications.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and application integration.
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript development experience.
• Experience with software development lifecycle, testing and deployment practices.

Pay: $600.00 – $800.00 per day
