What they need
Big challenges need bold thinkers.
If you’re someone who sees problems as opportunities, you’ll thrive here. RESPEC is 100% employee-owned, which means we take ownership of every challenge. Here, your ideas drive real solutions. Since 1969, we’ve tackled complex challenges in energy transition, infrastructure resilience, digital transformation, and sustainability.
At RESPEC, you’ll work alongside clients to take on critical problems. Depending on your expertise, you might design infrastructure in remote locations, develop renewable energy solutions for global projects, or apply data-driven technology to improve mining and water systems.
We bring deep technical knowledge, real-world experience, and a commitment to work that matters. If you're looking for a place where your contributions have real impact, you’ll fit right in.
RESPEC is seeking an experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join our Mining & Energy team. While preference will be given to candidates based in, or willing to work from Reno, Nevada, we encourage qualified applicants in Vancouver, BC and Saskatoon, SK to apply.
This role supports precious metal, base metal, and aggregate projects throughout North and South America and offers the opportunity to work alongside internationally recognized geologists and engineers on a wide range of exploration, development, and operating mining projects. Based in Reno, Nevada, this position will collaborate closely with technical teams across North America while contributing to complex and impactful mining initiatives.
The Senior Resource Geologist will be responsible for developing and validating geological and block models, preparing mineral resource estimates, and supporting technical reporting in accordance with industry standards, including NI 43-101 and SK-1300. The role involves evaluating geological, drilling, sampling, and assay data; performing QA/QC reviews and model reconciliation; and partnering with geology, mine planning, operations, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose resource models that support critical business decisions throughout the life of a mine.
In addition to providing technical leadership on consulting projects, the successful candidate will mentor and support the development of junior geologists, contribute to continuous improvement of resource estimation practices, and help maintain RESPEC's reputation for technical excellence. The position also offers opportunities to support business development efforts by building client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, representing RESPEC at industry conferences and professional events, and contributing to recruiting, training, and team development initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional seeking technical challenges, career growth, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on mining projects around the world.
