Join Our Team in the Heart of Sunnyvale Downtown!

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and professional Hostess to join our team at a well-loved Northeastern Indian restaurant located in the vibrant downtown Sunnyvale area.

Pay

• Base Pay: $19.00–$24.00 per hour plus Tips, depending on experience
• Excellent Tips: Eligible for tip sharing, with additional earnings based on restaurant policy and performance.

What We're Looking For

• Previous restaurant, hostess, front-of-house, or customer service experience preferred
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Warm, friendly, and welcoming personality
• Ability to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating efficiently
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Professional appearance and reliability
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• A team-first mindset and willingness to support servers and other team members
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating a positive guest experience
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive
• Manage reservations and the restaurant waitlist
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Communicate estimated wait times accurately and professionally
• Coordinate seating with servers and management to maintain a smooth dining room flow
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests with reservations and general questions
• Maintain a clean and organized host station
• Monitor the dining room and assist guests as needed
• Support the front-of-house team during busy periods
• Thank guests as they leave and ensure they have a positive final impression of the restaurant
