Senior Retail Merchandising Manager

Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of the retail merchandise planning life cycle from headquarters to market, including key timelines, milestones, and post-launch operational processes at the store level.
• Strong consumer and market insight capabilities, with the ability to synthesize findings into actionable merchandise opportunity analyses and strategic recommendations for the regional market—communicated effectively to headquarters and cross-regional merchandising functions.
• Proven analytical skills, with the ability to interpret business reports, identify growth opportunities, and translate data into targeted action plans.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a solid grasp of the company's multi-tiered, multi-line reporting structure. Able to align and manage expectations between headquarters and regional business functions to drive business results.
• Balanced perspective that integrates commercial acumen with aesthetic sensibility—able to draw logical, forward-looking business conclusions that are both data-driven and creatively informed.
• Experience leading a mid-sized team, with the ability to motivate, manage expectations, and collaborate seamlessly across headquarters and regional functions to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in merchandise planning, product management, or channel management within a retail brand environment. Open to industries including jewelry, accessories, footwear, apparel, and collectible toys/culture products.
• Proven team management experience, with the ability to navigate multi-line reporting structures and effectively manage expectations both upward and downward.
• Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
• Logical thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrates empathy while maintaining principled decision-making and integrity.
