Senior Revenue Accountant

Role: Revenue Accountant
Location: Palo Alto, CA (onsite)
Duration: Contract
Pay rate: $67/hr - $75/hr. on W2

Responsibilities:

• Independently prepare and maintain accurate, audit-ready SOX control workbooks, including validating input data accuracy and completeness via system reports and driving each workbook through to completion
• Execute monthly accounting activities in NetSuite, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and close-related deliverables
• Proactively communicate status, flag issues early, and clearly state conclusions and any needed follow-ups
• Prepare deal and contract summaries for significant transactions in accordance with ASC 606
• Support collection forecasting and accounts receivable management
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly AR and Revenue Footnotes, ensuring all supporting schedules tie back to the general ledger and are audit-ready

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Revenue Accounting
• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and SOX compliance requirements
• Demonstrated collections experience and analytical skills in AR
• Proficiency in NetSuite, Excel (advanced: complex formulas, data validation, large data sets), and Salesforce
• Proven ability to prepare SOX control workpapers that stand independently under audit review and to articulate the intent behind each control, not just execute it
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• A proactive, continuous improvement mindset and strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
• CPA Certification strongly preferred.
