The role focuses on maximizing system uptime, reducing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and reducing reliance on manual labor.

Work closely with engineering teams, manufacturing sites, suppliers, and System Integrators to develop and enhance Robotics & Automation systems, including Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Spare Parts Management, and knowledge transfer to internal teams to ensure sustainable robotics operations across CPF.

Key Responsibilities

1. Robotics & Automation Maintenance

  • Plan and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs for robotic and automation systems in manufacturing processes.
  • Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to robotic systems, automated machinery, and control systems.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and downtime and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor and continuously improve robotic system performance to maximize System Uptime and reduce MTTR.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, testing, and start-up of new robotic and automation systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to engineering teams and plant operators.

2. Robotics & System Integration

  • Participate in the design, development, integration, and installation of Robotics & Automation systems to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinate with System Integrators and technology suppliers for system development, installation, commissioning, testing, and improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and verify the performance of Robots, PLCs, HMIs, Sensors, Actuators, and related control systems.
  • Support the development of robotic prototypes and new technology platforms.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI, Machine Learning, Vision Systems, and Sensor Technologies, to improve system performance and operational efficiency.

3. Spare Parts & Maintenance Cost Management

  • Develop and manage Critical Spare Parts lists for Robotics & Automation systems.
  • Analyze spare parts requirements and establish appropriate inventory levels throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Prepare annual maintenance and spare parts cost plans and budget estimates.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs to ensure cost effectiveness and alignment with organizational objectives.

4. Technology Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Research and stay updated on emerging Robotics, Automation, and System Integration technologies.
  • Apply best practices and new technologies to improve productivity, reliability, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Collect operational and maintenance feedback to support improvements in the design and development of future robotic systems.
  • Drive and support Continuous Improvement initiatives for Automation systems across manufacturing processes.

5. Knowledge Sharing & Partnership

  • Develop and deliver knowledge-sharing and technical training programs in Robotics & Automation for engineers and operators.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with robot manufacturers, technology suppliers, and System Integrators.
  • Collaborate with internal CPF business units and affiliated companies, as well as external organizations, academic institutions, and relevant government agencies.
  • Support the development of standards, maintenance procedures, and best practices for Robotics & Automation systems across the organization.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Robotic System Uptime
  • Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
  • Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
  • First Contact Resolution (FCR)
  • First Response Time (FRT)
  • Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT)
  • Maintenance Cost per Ticket
  • Downtime Reduction
  • Preventive Maintenance Compliance
  • Spare Parts Availability

Candidate Profile
