Senior Rust / WebAssembly Developer

We are looking for an experienced **Rust Developer** with strong expertise in building high-performance applications using **Rust, WebAssembly (WASM), and modern web technologies**.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with **Rust as their primary programming language**, along with experience developing frontend applications using **WebAssembly and Rust-based frameworks such as Yew**. Knowledge of **Node.js for backend development and API integration** is also required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications primarily using **Rust**.

• Build modern frontend applications using **Rust + WebAssembly (WASM)**.

• Develop frontend components and interfaces using frameworks such as **Yew**, Leptos, Dioxus, or similar Rust-based technologies.

• Develop and integrate backend services and APIs using **Node.js**.

• Design efficient communication between frontend, backend, and WebAssembly modules.

• Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable Rust components.

• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and execution speed.

• Work with REST APIs, WebSockets, asynchronous systems, and third-party integrations.

• Write clean, secure, well-tested, and production-ready code.

• Debug complex application and performance issues across Rust, WebAssembly, frontend, and backend environments.

• Participate in technical architecture and system design decisions.

• Conduct code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.

• Maintain technical documentation for architecture, APIs, and key application components.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with **wasm-bindgen**, web-sys, or related Rust/WASM tooling.

• Experience with **Leptos, Dioxus, Axum, Actix Web, Rocket**, or similar Rust frameworks.

• Knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar databases.

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud environments.

• Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of microservices and distributed system architecture.

• Experience contributing to Rust open-source projects would be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate

We are particularly interested in candidates who have **commercial, production-level experience with Rust**, rather than developers who have only experimented with Rust through personal projects.

You should be comfortable working on complex applications where **performance, reliability, security, and efficient resource utilization** are important.

While Node.js experience is required for backend development and integration, **Rust expertise will be the primary consideration when evaluating candidates.**

Experience

**Preferred:** 4+ years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on experience in **Rust development**.

Candidates with fewer overall years of experience may also be considered if they demonstrate exceptional expertise in **Rust, WebAssembly, and Rust-based frontend development**.

This is fundamentally a **Rust-focused engineering role**, so candidates whose primary experience is only JavaScript/Node.js without substantial commercial Rust experience would not be the right fit.
