Senior Sales Application Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and identify new business opportunities in the injection molding industry.
• Promote injection molding machines and related solutions based on customer requirements and production needs.
• Understand customer applications, product requirements, mold specifications, and production processes, and recommend suitable machine configurations.
• Provide technical support throughout the sales process, including machine selection, technical proposals, mold trials, machine demonstrations, and commissioning.
• Conduct machine trials and optimize molding parameters to achieve required product quality, cycle time, and production efficiency.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals, application reports, and other sales-related documents.
• Follow up on customer inquiries, projects, orders, and after-sales technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with Engineering, R&D, Production, and Service teams to develop effective technical solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and industry developments to support business growth.
• Provide technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training to customers when required.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to customer development and market expansion.
• Travel regularly to customer sites for business development, technical discussions, machine trials, and project support.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in injection molding, plastic machinery, technical sales, application engineering, or a related industry.
• Solid understanding of injection molding processes, molds, plastics, and injection molding machines.
• Experience in machine selection, process optimization, parameter setting, commissioning, or troubleshooting is preferred.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand customer requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Good communication, negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-oriented, proactive, and target-driven.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work at customer sites when required.
