Senior Salesforce Developer (f/m/x)

Senior Salesforce Developer (m/w/d)

Over 40,000 buyers. More than 20 countries. Every vehicle listed, sold and settled through one platform. On our Inventory team you own the Service and Sales Cloud layer that carries those transactions — Apex, LWC, Platform Events, and the two-way integration that keeps Salesforce and our core system in step.

Location: Berlin Schöneberg or Munich – you work on site in one of our offices, hybrid with 3 days office and 2 days remote.

About Us CarOnSale is the AI-powered platform for B2B used car trading in Europe. Over 40,000 buyers from more than 20 countries trade on our platform — and 85% of inventory is exclusive to us. We connect software, pricing intelligence, logistics and financing in one layer — as the operating system for an entire industry.

One Platform. One Profit Engine. Your responsibilities

• You build and customise Service Cloud and Sales Cloud solutions that carry our dealer and buyer processes end to end
• You own Apex classes, Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages across the Inventory team's scope
• You design and maintain the two-way integration between Salesforce and our core platform — REST APIs, Platform Events, event-driven flows
• You decide where standard configuration is enough (Flows, metadata, permission sets) and where custom development earns its place
• You design data models and API integrations that keep transaction data consistent between Salesforce and our backend systems
• You take ownership of underused platform features and reduce technical debt in the existing codebase
• You secure reliability and performance through monitoring, release management and clean deployment practice
• You work in agile sprints and shape the architecture decisions behind them

What you bring

• 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development, with Service Cloud and Sales Cloud in production
• Deep command of Apex, LWC, Aura, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
• Strong relational data modelling with SOQL and SQL
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and Salesforce integration patterns — REST APIs, Platform Events
• Clear judgement on standard platform configuration (Flows, metadata, APIs) versus custom development
• Comfortable in release management and scrum frameworks, and able to carry a technical argument in a business conversation
• English at C1 level, written and spoken
• AI-fluent working style — you use tools like Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot actively in your day-to-day

Nice to have

• Salesforce certifications, particularly Platform Developer I or II, or Service Cloud Consultant
• German at B2 level
• Experience mentoring other developers and reviewing their work
