Senior Scheduler

SENIOR SCHEDULER

Houston, TX | On-Site | Full-Time

We are conducting a search for an experienced Senior Scheduler to join a growing industrial manufacturing organization in the Houston area.

This is a highly visible scheduling role responsible for supporting an enterprise-level integrated master schedule and driving alignment across demand, capacity, materials, and production execution . The Senior Scheduler will work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, project management, sales, and production teams to strengthen schedule performance and ensure customer commitments are supported by realistic capacity and material plans.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain a rolling 12–24 month enterprise master schedule aligned with backlog, forecast, capacity, and material readiness.
• Partner with the Master Scheduler to connect long-range planning with weekly production schedules and shop-floor execution.
• Provide timely customer-facing delivery, capability, and schedule assessments.
• Lead and support SIOP and weekly scheduling cycles to drive operational readiness.
• Partner with project management and sales to validate demand and support customer promise dates.
• Monitor schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and production throughput .
• Work closely with procurement, warehouse, planning, and operations teams to identify material and capacity constraints.
• Develop recovery plans and corrective actions for schedule-impacting issues.
• Maintain ERP planning parameters, routings, and job structures to support accurate MRP outputs.
• Utilize tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, ERP/MRP systems, and advanced scheduling tools for capacity planning, load leveling, and risk analysis.
• Mentor schedulers and planners on scheduling standards, best practices, and data discipline.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in production scheduling, master scheduling, capacity planning, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience supporting both long-range master schedules and near-term production schedules .
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, capacity planning, and production scheduling .
• Experience providing customer-facing delivery or capability updates.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Experience operating in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS, CPIM, CSCP, and/or PMP certification
• 10+ years of senior-level scheduling experience
• Experience with SIOP/S&OP processes
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, production flow, and constraint-based scheduling
• Experience supporting complex or multi-site manufacturing operations

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range: $100K – $120K annually

Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
