Responsibilities

• Define, operationalize, and document the security architecture and assessment function.
• Develop, standardize, and document reference architectures, specifically zero-trust architecture.
• Determine and apply appropriate controls and criteria for security architecture reviews.
• Elevate the security engineering team through mentoring and knowledge transfer.

Security Engineering

• Secure enterprise information by determining security requirements; planning, implementing, and testing security systems.
• Prepare security standards, policies, and procedures.
• Plan security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices.
• Design public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards on-prem, remote (DR), and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Security Architect with a deep understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and identity and access management.
• Experience in designing and implementing zero-trust architectures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification(s) in relevant security domains (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
