Senior Security Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will focus on strengthening cloud security, improving detection and response capabilities, and reducing risk across a fast-moving technology environment.

You will partner closely with engineering and operations teams to identify vulnerabilities, harden systems, and support practical security controls that scale with the business.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on incident response experience, a strong cloud security foundation, and the ability to translate security needs into clear, enforceable guidance.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and harden security infrastructure in cloud environments
• Lead end-to-end vulnerability management processes
• Build and tune detection content based on actual attack techniques
• Act as incident commander during security incidents and conduct forensics
• Threat-model new features before deployment to identify risks
• Manage IAM hygiene and cloud security posture for AWS accounts
• Write and maintain security policies that are practical and enforceable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity, or similar experience
• 5-8+ years in security engineering or incident response roles
• Certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GCIH, or CEH preferred
• Deep understanding of network security fundamentals and cloud security in AWS
• Real-world incident response experience with a focus on practical application
