Working within a small, high-performing Security team, you'll help secure modern cloud platforms and partner closely with engineering and product teams to embed security into technology delivery from day one.

Your new role

As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll play a key role across cloud security, security operations, identity security and DevSecOps practices, supporting multiple ventures with varying technologies and risk profiles.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical capability and the ability to operate autonomously within a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and enhancing Microsoft security capabilities including Defender, Sentinel and Entra ID
• Designing and implementing security controls across AWS and Azure environments
• Improving threat detection, monitoring and security operations capabilities
• Supporting incident response, vulnerability management and remediation activities
• Building security automation using Python, PowerShell and cloud-native tooling
• Embedding security controls within CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
• Supporting identity and access management initiatives including Conditional Access and privileged access controls
• Working with Infrastructure as Code technologies including Terraform and CloudFormation
• Partnering with engineering teams to implement secure-by-design practices
• Contributing to cloud security initiatives and continuous improvement across multiple ventures

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience as a Security Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer or similar
• Strong experience with the Microsoft Security Suite, including:
• Microsoft Defender
• Microsoft Sentinel
• Microsoft Entra ID
• Hands-on AWS security experience
• Background in Security Operations, SOC, Incident Response or Detection Engineering
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Bicep
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and/or PowerShell
• Experience working within DevSecOps environments
• Exposure to cloud security platforms such as Wiz will be highly regarded
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
