Senior Security Engineer

Strategic Staffing Solutions International's customer is a multinational leader in electronic manufacturing, producing a wide range of circuit protection products, electronic switches, and automotive sensors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement security controls and embed security by design into projects, architecture, integrations, and technology changes.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and third-party security assessments.
• Develop secure configuration standards, technical documentation, and implementation guidance.
• Drive vulnerability and configuration risk remediation, validating effectiveness through testing and evidence.
• Support Security Operations with detection improvements, incident response, and control optimization.
• Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into practical technical controls.
• Use automation, AI, dashboards, and metrics to improve security effectiveness and efficiency.
• Support customer security reviews, M&A activities, and other strategic initiatives.
• Design secure automations using APIs, scripting, and orchestration tools.
• Assess and mitigate AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, excessive access, and insecure integrations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, cloud security, infrastructure security, systems engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of security controls across identity, endpoints, networks, cloud platforms, applications, operating systems, and data protection.
• Experience conducting security assessments, vulnerability management, remediation programs, and risk-based decision-making.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as EDR, PAM, SIEM, and related security platforms.
• Practical understanding of AI security risks, secure AI adoption, and output validation.
