Main Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Security Automation & Orchestration

• Advanced understanding of Security Automation and SOAR concepts.
• Deep knowledge of Cortex XSOAR architecture, components, and development practices.
• Ability to design scalable automation workflows and orchestration processes.
• Strong understanding of incident response and operational security workflows.

Software Development & Integration

• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and web services.
• Experience with JSON, XML, and data transformation.
• Experience developing custom integrations and automation scripts.
• Familiarity with Git and software development best practices.

Security Technologies

• Working knowledge of SIEM, EDR, IAM, Threat Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management platforms.
• Understanding of cloud environments and modern security architectures.
• Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security principles.
• Familiarity with enterprise security operations processes.

Leadership & Communication

• Ability to mentor and coach technical team members.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

What you’ll do

Business:

• Understand customer objectives and identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
• Translate business requirements into scalable security automation solutions.
• Support technology evaluations and recommend automation approaches that deliver measurable value.
• Contribute to the development of the Security Automation roadmap and strategic initiatives.
• Promote best practices and demonstrate the business benefits of automation initiatives.

Operations:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Cortex XSOAR playbooks and automation workflows.
• Develop custom integrations and connectors between XSOAR and third-party security or IT platforms.
• Build and maintain Python scripts, automations, and reusable content packs.
• Design scalable and maintainable automation architectures.
• Integrate SIEM, EDR, IAM, ticketing systems, threat intelligence platforms, and cloud services into automated workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to integrations, APIs, and platform performance.
• Optimize playbook execution, worker utilization, and automation performance.
• Establish engineering standards, development guidelines, and automation best practices.
• Perform testing, validation, deployment, and maintenance activities for XSOAR content.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Support onboarding of new technologies and services into the automation ecosystem.
• Research and evaluate new platform capabilities, integrations, and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to troubleshoot issues and implement platform enhancements.
