Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer (L2) to support enterprise network security infrastructure in a multi-vendor, hybrid managed services environment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in firewall operations, VPN support, network security incident handling, security policy troubleshooting, and operational monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for enterprise network security infrastructure.
• Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, secure web access, proxy, AAA, and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Manage and support Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) platforms.
• Implement and validate firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and access control changes.
• Troubleshoot security policy, connectivity, authentication, and access-related issues.
• Perform routine health checks, security monitoring, and performance analysis.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and resolve recurring operational issues.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, configuration changes, SOPs, and troubleshooting activities.
• Coordinate with L1/L3 teams, network teams, vendors, and clients for issue resolution.
• Follow security standards, change management procedures, and operational SLAs.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in Security Operations, Firewall Operations, or Managed Security Services.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms:
• Palo Alto
• FortiGate
• Cisco FTD
• Versa SSE / Cisco SSE
• Strong understanding of firewall policy management, NAT, VPN, IDS/IPS, AAA, MFA, and secure remote access technologies.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, ports, and protocols.
• Experience with security incident handling, log analysis, traffic analysis, and packet-level troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools, monitoring tools, and ITIL-based processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any graduate qualification.
• Preferred certifications:
• Fortinet NSE / FCP
• PCNSA / PCNSE
• CCNA / CCNP Security
• Cisco Security or other relevant firewall/security certifications
