As a Senior Security Technician your primary focus will include electronic security installations, reactive and planned service work on our corporate and government sites.

The role is a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, configure and commission access control, intruder detection, CCTV systems, and related IP-based infrastructure.
  • Provide reactive service for access control, intruder alarms, CCTV, and intercom systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve security-related software and hardware faults.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

You’re an experienced electronic security professional who can work independently, communicate confidently with clients and take ownership of complex technical work.

  • Strong knowledge of IT systems and networking (servers, switches, firewalls).
  • Clear written and verbal communication and a strong customer-service approach
  • A methodical, dependable work style and a reasonable level of physical fitness.
  • A clean criminal record and legal entitlement to drive in New Zealand.

Due to the nature of our customer environments, the successful applicant must be eligible to obtain and maintain New Zealand Government Security Vetting clearance.

This generally requires New Zealand citizenship or permanent residence, or in some cases a New Zealand residence-class visa with indefinite stay rights, plus a verifiable background suitable for assessment. Applicants will generally need to have resided continuously in New Zealand, or one or more of the following countries — Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, or the United States — for at least the previous five years, or since the age of 18 where applicable.
