ReBrand Gurus is a boutique creative technology agency working with businesses across website development, mobile applications, digital marketing, SEO and other digital solutions.
We manage multiple client websites and digital platforms, and we are looking for an experienced
Senior Server &amp; Infrastructure Security Administrator
to take ownership of our hosting environments, server infrastructure, website security, and technical troubleshooting.
About the Role
We are looking for a technically strong professional who can keep our web infrastructure secure, stable, monitored, and recoverable.
This is not a regular WordPress developer or basic Server Administrator role. We need someone who understands server-level security, can investigate complex technical problems, and knows how to protect multiple websites from vulnerabilities, malware, server failures, and unauthorized access.
The ideal candidate will take responsibility for identifying potential risks, preventing avoidable downtime, investigating security incidents, and restoring services safely when unexpected problems occur.
Your primary responsibility will be to protect ReBrand Gurus' web infrastructure and ensure that our websites remain secure, stable, and recoverable.
Key Responsibilities1. Linux Server and Hosting Management
<ul>
<li>Manage and maintain Linux servers, VPS environments, and website hosting platforms such as Hostinger, hPanel, cPanel, and similar services.</li>
<li>Monitor server health, CPU/RAM usage, disk space, uptime, resource consumption, and website performance.</li>
<li>Investigate and resolve server-level problems affecting one or multiple websites.</li>
<li>Manage PHP versions, MySQL/MariaDB databases, cron jobs, file permissions, and server configurations.</li>
<li>Work confidently with SSH and the Linux command line for server administration and troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Perform routine server maintenance, software updates, security patches, and configuration reviews.</li>
<li>Handle website migrations, hosting migrations, and server configuration changes safely.</li>
<li>Identify infrastructure weaknesses and recommend improvements to server stability and security.</li>
</ul>
<ol start="2">
<li>Website and WordPress Administration</li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li>Manage and troubleshoot multiple WordPress websites hosted across different environments.</li>
<li>Diagnose plugin, theme, PHP, database, and compatibility issues.</li>
<li>Resolve website downtime, HTTP 500/502/503 errors, database connection failures, and other server-related website problems.</li>
<li>Perform WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates safely.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot WooCommerce websites and related technical issues.</li>
<li>Maintain staging and production environments.</li>
<li>Investigate website performance issues and implement appropriate solutions.</li>

<li>Investigate malware infections, compromised websites, suspicious PHP files, malicious scripts, and hidden backdoors.</li>
<li>Identify possible entry points and determine how a security compromise occurred.</li>
<li>Investigate compromised administrator accounts, vulnerable plugins, outdated software, and insecure server configurations.</li>
<li>Implement server hardening, firewall rules, access controls, security patches, and other appropriate protective measures.</li>
<li>Configure and manage Cloudflare security features, WAF, and other relevant security tools.</li>
<li>Review server and website logs to identify suspicious activity and potential threats.</li>

<li>Verify that security incidents have been properly resolved and monitor for signs of reinfection.</li>
<li>Maintain practical security procedures to reduce the risk of future incidents.</li>
</ul>
Important:

<li>Regularly verify backup integrity and test website and database restoration.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain recovery procedures for server failures, malware incidents, accidental deletions, and data loss.</li>
<li>Restore affected websites and services from trusted backups when required.</li>
<li>Identify recovery risks and recommend measures to minimize downtime and data loss.</li>

You will also be responsible for strengthening our infrastructure, identifying risks before they cause disruption, maintaining reliable recovery options, and reducing the likelihood and impact of future security incidents.
Our expectation is not simply to fix problems when they occur, but to build and maintain an infrastructure that is secure, resilient, and prepared for unexpected failures.
