Senior Server Systems Engineer

• This is NOT a work from home job. This is NOT a hybrid set up. You will be required to report to the office full time. Full Time Office based job in IT Park Cebu.
• Working hours - shifting schedule including holidays and weekends.

Core Responsibilities

·       Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure (Windows/Linux environment)

·       Manage and administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity services

·       Lead server migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure modernization initiatives

·       Oversee virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix) and cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)

Infrastructure & Operations

·       Experienced in  24/7 monitoring, alerting, and incident response for server environments

·       Administer and troubleshoot server hardware, storage (SAN/NAS), and datacenter systems

·       Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server issues including analyzing Application, System and Security Logs

·       Administer and troubleshoot  Server Vulnerabilities

·       Manage patching, updates, and lifecycle management of server systems

·       Maintain DNS, DHCP, and core infrastructure services

Security & Compliance

·       Implement server hardening, endpoint protection, and security best practices

·       Support compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.) and audit readiness

·       Manage identity security, MFA, RBAC, and conditional access policies

·       Respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis

Automation & Optimization

·       Develop scripts and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools

·       Optimize system performance and reduce downtime through proactive engineering

·       Standardize builds, deployments, and operational procedures

Project & Leadership Responsibilities

·       Lead technical projects including server deployments, upgrades, and cloud migrations

·       Act as escalation point (L3/SME) for complex infrastructure issues

·       Collaborate with network, security, and application teams on cross-functional initiatives

·       Provide documentation, runbooks, and operational best practices

Qualifications & Skills

·       10–15+ years of experience in systems engineering or server infrastructure

·       Strong expertise in:

o   Windows Server and/or Linux administration

o   Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)

o   Cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)

o   Active Directory, Entra ID and Identity Management

·       Experience with backup, DR, and monitoring tools

·       Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
