senior Service Engineer

About the role

Master Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer to join our Singapore team. The role involves the installation, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support of marine navigation, communication, automation, control, and safety systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling service assignments independently, resolving complex technical issues, coordinating with customers and vessel crew, and supporting junior engineers in technical activities.

Key responsibilities

• Independently carry out installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of marine electronic and automation systems
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems involving electrical, electronic, automation, control, communication, and instrumentation systems
• Perform onboard service activities on vessels, at shipyards, ports, and customer locations
• Commission and configure new equipment and integrated marine systems
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures
• Troubleshoot PLCs, control systems, alarm monitoring systems, sensors, communication interfaces, and marine automation equipment
• Work with Integrated Automation Systems (IAS), engine control systems, vessel monitoring systems, navigation systems, communication systems, and safety systems
• Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, system architecture, manuals, and technical documentation
• Conduct testing, calibration, parameter setting, equipment configuration, and functional verification
• Provide remote and onsite technical support to customers and vessel personnel

About you

• Experience in installation, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support of marine navigation, communication, automation, control, and safety systems
• Ability to handle service assignments independently
• Capability to resolve complex technical issues
• Experience coordinating with customers and vessel crew
• Ability to support junior engineers in technical activities
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, automation, control, communication, and instrumentation systems
• Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, system architecture, manuals, and technical documentation
• Experience with PLCs, control systems, alarm monitoring systems, sensors, communication interfaces, and marine automation equipment
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally for vessel service, commissioning, troubleshooting, training, and project assignments
