Senior Settlement Officer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily securities settlement operations, including HKEx, US markets, and OTC products.
• Handle HKEx and OTC settlement processing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
• Process CCASS and physical settlement activities, including IPOs, placements, and related reporting.
• Perform daily stock and cash reconciliation, monitor unsettled trades and corporate actions.
• Handle client funds and securities deposits/withdrawals, settlement instructions and EIPOs.
• Perform bank-in procedures and ensure timely processing of client funds.
• Prepare settlement records, reports and related documentation.
• Support system enhancement projects and participate in UAT testing when required.
• Liaise with internal departments and external counterparties to ensure smooth settlement operations.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Degree holder preferred; other qualifications with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in securities settlement or back-office operations.
• Solid knowledge of HKEx and CCASS operations; experience in OTC products, US market settlement and TradeGo is an advantage.
• Good understanding of SFC and HKEx regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Detail-minded, responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently.
