Senior Shopify Plus Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Shopify Plus Developer \ Technical Lead to own and lead the technical development of our Shopify Plus platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Shopify development, integrations, performance optimization, and e-commerce solutions.

The role will be responsible for ensuring a fast, secure, scalable, and reliable online store while working closely with E-commerce, Marketing, IT/ERP teams, and external partners to enhance platform performance and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, customization, and maintenance of the Shopify Plus platform.
• Develop and optimize Shopify themes, Liquid templates, APIs, and custom functionalities.
• Manage integrations with ERP systems, payment gateways, logistics providers, and third-party applications.
• Optimize website speed, performance, mobile experience, and overall user experience.
• Ensure proper RTL/LTR functionality across different languages and markets.
• Manage code versioning, deployments, troubleshooting, and technical releases.
• Ensure platform security, stability, scalability, and adherence to development best practices.
• Collaborate with E-commerce and Marketing teams to implement new features and improve conversion rates.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for Shopify Plus, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
• Identify technical issues, recommend improvements, and implement solutions to support business objectives.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Shopify Plus development and customization.
• Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
• Proven experience integrating Shopify with ERP systems, payment gateways, logistics providers, and third-party applications.
• Strong knowledge of website performance optimization, mobile responsiveness, and e-commerce best practices.
• Experience implementing and maintaining RTL/LTR functionality.
• Familiarity with Git and version control, deployment workflows, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of web security, platform reliability, and scalable architecture.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience leading Shopify development projects or owning the technical side of an e-commerce platform.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing high-traffic e-commerce websites.
• Experience with headless commerce or custom Shopify app development.
• Knowledge of analytics, conversion rate optimization, and SEO technical requirements.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and external technology partners.
