Senior Site Engineer – Steel Construction

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to supervise and manage structural steel construction activities, ensuring quality execution, site safety, efficient resource utilisation, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise steel fabrication, erection, installation, welding, and bolting activities at the project site.

* Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and steel erection plans.

* Manage site manpower, subcontractors, materials, tools, and equipment.

* Ensure proper alignment, levelling, and installation of steel columns, beams, trusses, purlins, and other structural components.

* Monitor daily site progress and ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.

* Coordinate with project managers, consultants, suppliers, and fabrication teams to resolve site issues.

* Ensure adherence to HSE requirements and safe working practices during lifting, welding, and erection activities.

* Prepare daily progress reports and coordinate site inspections and quality documentation.

Requirements

* 5–8 years of relevant experience in structural steel construction, fabrication, and erection.

* Strong knowledge of steel structures, welding, bolting, connections, and installation procedures.

* Ability to read technical drawings and independently manage site execution teams.

* Familiarity with AutoCAD, QA/QC procedures, material estimation, and construction safety standards.

* Strong coordination, problem-solving, and site management skills.

* UAE construction experience will be an advantage.
