Senior Site Reliability Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $147,600 – $221,400 annually

Responsibilities

• Participate in an on-call rotation to diagnose and resolve production issues promptly
• Design and maintain observability dashboards utilizing SLIs and SLOs
• Enhance the reliability of the Kubernetes-based compute platform
• Support cloud networking and infrastructure for scalability and reliability
• Conduct root-cause analysis on production incidents and remedy follow-up work
• Collaborate with product engineering on architecture and infrastructure before deployment
• Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve team efficiency

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related field
• Strong, practical knowledge of Kubernetes and its operation in production environments
• Solid experience with AWS or Azure cloud networking fundamentals
• Proficient in modern observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Strong programming skills in.NET, Python, or Java, with practical coding assessment based on preferred language
• Experience with distributed systems and their common failure modes
• Strong production troubleshooting skills, capable of diagnosing under pressure
