Senior Software Developer Team Lead

About the Role

This is a hands-on role where you'll continue writing high-quality code while leading a team of developers to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions. Working closely with our Solutions Architect, you'll turn technical roadmaps into actionable development plans, guide sprint delivery, and help shape the ongoing growth of both our platforms and our people.

Key Responsibilities

You'll provide day-to-day leadership for the development team, balancing hands-on development with delivery planning, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading sprint planning, task allocation, backlog management, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborating with the Solutions Architect to translate architectural and business requirements into deliverable user stories and development roadmaps.
• Contributing directly to software development, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Managing application maintenance, issue triage, defect resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Providing delivery leadership, stakeholder communication, and reporting on project progress, risks, and milestones.
• Mentoring developers and fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and technical excellence.
• Ensuring development practices align with security, compliance, quality, and deployment standards.

About You

You are an experienced software developer who enjoys leading by example and helping others succeed. You can move comfortably between technical problem-solving, project delivery discussions, and coaching team members. You will bring:

• Significant commercial software development experience across modern application environments.
• Experience leading developers, technical teams, or software delivery projects.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
• Experience with code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and software quality practices.
• The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
