Senior Software Engineer (90044)

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyse, design, and document business and application requirements with stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from planning and design to deployment and support.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in technical design and architecture discussions to ensure system scalability, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems using APIs and related technologies.
• Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional departments to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, code reviews, and guidance to software engineers to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
• Monitor application performance, perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners to support project and operational requirements.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies, tools, and Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in software development and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
• Competent in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap, and SQL.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, software architecture, design patterns, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) would be an added advantage.
• Experience with .NET, Node.js, Python, React.js, Vue.js, Flutter, or React Native would be an added advantage.
• Exposure to low-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, OutSystems) or Oracle Forms and Reports would be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior software engineers, with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Possess high initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
