Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Systems

Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who lives at the intersection of building the agentic capabilities that power our product, and using agentic tooling to build better and faster internally. You'll ship the autonomous workflows and orchestration that let their clients move from brief to live campaign in record time, while also helping define how our own engineering org uses agents day-to-day — from coding assistants to autonomous workflows.

This is a hands-on, high-leverage role for someone who's genuinely excited about where agentic software engineering is headed, not just someone who's used Copilot a few times. You'll have real influence over both their product roadmap and their internal engineering practices.

What You'll Do

• Design and build agentic workflows and integrations that are core to our client's platform — orchestration, tool use, MCP-based integrations, and multi-step autonomous task execution

• Work closely with Product to translate marketing and advertising workflows (campaign planning, creative production, media buying, budget/bid optimization, reporting) into reliable agent-driven solutions

• Build the scaffolding that makes agents trustworthy in production: evaluation, guardrails, observability, and graceful failure handling

• Integrate with the adtech and martech ecosystem (e.g., DSPs, SSPs, CDPs, data warehouses) so agents can act on live, first-party enterprise data

• Partner with clients and integration partners to understand how agentic features perform in real-world, high-stakes environments

• Actively use agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, or similar) in your own workflow, and help the team figure out what's actually working versus what's hype

• Contribute to internal tooling, prompts, and workflows that make the whole engineering org faster and more consistent

• Help set technical standards for how agents are deployed, reviewed, and trusted inside our own SDLC

• Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration

• Participate in architecture discussions and code review with a senior, opinionated voice

• Collaborate across a small, senior engineering team — this isn't a role with heavy process overhead; it's a role for people who like to build

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong fundamentals (you can go deep on distributed systems, APIs, data modeling — whatever the problem calls for)

Real, hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic architectures from end to end

• Comfort working with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or a strong ability to pick up new integration protocols quickly

A track record of shipping production software, ideally in a fast-moving startup or small-team environment

Nice to have

• Experience in adtech, martech, or media — their clients include agencies, brands, and media owners running high-volume digital campaigns

• Experience integrating with platforms like Salesforce CDP, Snowflake, Google Ads, Amazon Marketing Cloud, or DSP/SSP platforms

• Experience with LangChain or similar agent/orchestration frameworks

• Familiarity with running or evaluating local/self-hosted LLM inference
