Senior Software Engineer (Architecture)

An established iGaming company in Limassol is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Architecture).

This isn’t a classic senior full-stack role. The company is looking for a hands-on architect and technical lead who thinks like an architect first and a developer second, and who will own complex, high-load systems in a regulated environment.

The role

• Designing scalable, high-performance, event-driven systems

• Leading technical discussions and architectural decisions, and driving engineering standards

• Owning scalability, performance and reliability across distributed systems

• Ensuring the platform meets the technical requirements of the regulated jurisdictions it operates in

• Staying hands-on in the codebase

Must-have requirements

• Experience with, or exposure to, regulated iGaming jurisdictions (e.g. MGA, UKGC, GGL) and their technical/compliance requirements

• 5–8+ years of software engineering experience

• Strong PHP (Laravel) and Vue.js

• Proven system architecture and design experience

• Experience with Kafka and distributed/queue-based systems

• MySQL and NoSQL knowledge

Nice to have

• Docker and Kubernetes experience

• An iGaming or gaming background
