Senior Software Engineer (Architecture Focus) – Limassol, Cyprus

A well-established iGaming technology company is looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead or Architect to join its on-site team in Limassol. You will lead system design and architectural decisions, optimise performance, mentor developers and keep coding hands-on. Cyprus-based candidates only; no relocation. Forex experience is not required. iGaming or casino experience is an advantage but not essential.

What you'll do:

• Lead system design and architectural decisions across scalable, distributed systems

• Optimise application and platform performance in production

• Mentor developers and raise engineering standards across the team

• Stay hands-on: design, implement and review code alongside architecture work

• Work with PHP/Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, NoSQL, Kafka and message queues, Docker and Kubernetes

• Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders on technical direction and trade-offs

What you need:

• 5–8+ years of software development experience

• Strong expertise in scalable system architecture and distributed systems

• Hands-on production experience with: PHP/Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL, NoSQL, Kafka or message queues, Docker and Kubernetes

• Recent hands-on development work alongside architecture or tech-lead responsibilities

• Currently based in Cyprus and able to work on-site in Limassol – no relocation offered

• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• iGaming or casino industry experience
