Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and help design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, DevOps, and other software engineers to deliver impactful products and services. The ideal candidate is a strong technical problem solver who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes ownership from design through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications and services.
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Participate in architecture and technical design decisions.
• Write clean, efficient, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, DevOps, and other teams to deliver projects successfully.
• Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and development processes.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support their technical growth.
• Participate in technical planning, estimation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience developing APIs, backend services, web applications, or distributed systems.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience writing automated tests and maintaining production-quality code.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with system design and software architecture.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working with observability, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
• Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership.
• Familiarity with security best practices and secure software development.
