Senior Software Engineer (Big Data)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Big Data) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will focus on building and evolving large-scale data pipelines that support security-focused data products and analytics. You will work across engineering, data science, and research functions to improve data quality, integrate new sources, and scale the platform for growing volumes. The position calls for strong Java expertise and a solid software engineering foundation to deliver reliable, incremental improvements in a fast-moving technical environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale data pipelines for security-focused data products
• Integrate new data sources and enhance existing features
• Collaborate with data science and research teams to improve data quality
• Architect and evolve the data pipeline to handle larger volumes
• Utilize continuous, incremental development methodologies to deliver software

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in building and operating large-scale data pipelines
• Strong proficiency in modern Java programming
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
