Senior Java Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team and work with cross-functional teams to solve real-world challenges for healthcare providers across the country.

In this role, you will design, develop, test, and enhance scalable web applications and technology platforms. You will contribute to both customer-facing features and internal engineering solutions that improve efficiency, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the complete Agile/Scrum lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and maintenance.
• Design and develop scalable, reusable, maintainable, and high-performance applications using Java and Spring.
• Develop and maintain distributed, database-driven web applications.
• Debug complex issues, review code, and conduct code reviews.
• Contribute to testing, quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Apply strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
• Collaborate with Product Management and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Independently solve complex and ambiguous problems while ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in large-scale web application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Spring MVC and other Spring Framework technologies.
• Experience developing distributed, database-driven web applications.
• Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment.
• Strong experience with REST APIs and web-based application development.
• Working knowledge of HTML5, XML, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with at least one frontend technology: React/React.js, Angular, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, QA, and other cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

• Experience in US Healthcare IT.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology, workflows, and healthcare technology standards such as FHIR and CCDA.
• Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails 2.x.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, microservices, distributed systems, or containerized applications.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
