Job Role: Senior Software Engineer (Backend) - Node Connectivity

Job Description :

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience writing production code in C/C++
• Comfort working in a Linux and/or embedded systems environment
• Networking foundational knowledge (LANs, routing, switching, wireless)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• You will be responsible for crafting and implementing features that improve the reliability, simplicity, security, and performance of our products.
• Our projects are driven by technological innovation and developer creativity in addition to market demands, giving you the structure and freedom to pursue projects you are most passionate about.
• With millions of people using Meraki products around the world, your work will have a significant impact from the day it is deployed
• Lead in the design and development of Meraki’s node connectivity solution
• Work with all teams across Engineering to improve core functionality and optimize development cycles.
• Mentor junior developers in the art of software engineering
• Drive debugging of issues when things don't go as planned
• Be responsible for evaluating the performance of existing components and subsystems

Nice to have skills:

• Experience working with gRPC
• Expertise in networking, including TCP/IP(v4, v6) networks, 802.1x, DNS, DHCP, ARP
• Experience with embedded systems development such as Yocto and buildroot
• Experience with network security
• Passion to improve code, implement reusable design patterns, and use industry best coding practices
