Senior Software Engineer

Own major backend/platform capabilities and turn product requirements into reliable production systems.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more major platform services or subsystems.
• Design and implement APIs, workflows, data services, and integrations.
• Build resilient asynchronous processing.
• Integrate deterministic platform logic with AI/agent workflows.
• Implement retries, timeouts, idempotency, error handling, and recovery.
• Improve observability, performance, and maintainability.
• Review code and mentor other engineers.
• Diagnose cross-service production issues.

Mandatory technical skills and experience

• 6+ years professional software engineering.

• Strong backend engineering in Python/Java.

• Hands-on experience with:

• distributed systems

• REST and/or gRPC APIs

• asynchronous processing

• messaging or event-driven systems

• SQL and data modeling

• concurrency

• authentication and authorization

• Docker

• Kubernetes

• automated testing

• logs, metrics and distributed tracing

• Experience building robust third-party integrations.

• Experience owning production services end to end.

• Has personally investigated production incidents.

Preferred

• Kubernetes APIs/controllers.
• Graph databases.
• LLM or agent integration.
• Infrastructure automation.
