【Senior Software Engineer】

🌐 Location: Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid)

📌 Role Type: Permanent

We’re partnering with a growing technology company. They’re currently evolving from a monolithic Ruby on Rails architecture toward a service-oriented architecture and modern technology stack to support new products, global integrations, and long-term scalability.

This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems at scale.

• Define service boundaries, APIs, data models, and technology choices.
• Drive technical decisions, mentor engineers, and improve engineering practices.
• Improve CI/CD, zero-downtime deployments, monitoring, and observability.
• Design systems for performance, reliability, scale, and data consistency.
• Turn ambiguous requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions.

✅ Must Have:

• Strong backend experience with Go, Kotlin, Scala, Rust, C#, or another statically typed language
• Experience building SOA services and transitioning monolithic systems to a service-oriented architecture.
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and zero-downtime deployments.
• Knowledge and experience with scalable databases and data storage(i.e Cassandra or AWS Aurora)
• Expertise in using monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus).
