Behind every delivery is technology that connects our customers, warehouse, and drivers, and we're looking for an engineer to help build it.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be a hands-on builder on a tech team of 4–8 engineers. You'll spend most of your time writing code and shipping features, while bringing senior judgment to how our systems are designed. You'll own significant parts of our platform end to end, help shape our technical standards, and support the growth of the engineers around you.

What You'll Work On

• Warehouse Management System: build the tools that keep our inventory, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations running smoothly, including during peak seasons like Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.
• Customer mobile app: develop and improve our React Native app so customers can order and track gifts with ease.
• Driver app: build the app our drivers rely on to receive deliveries, navigate routes, and confirm drop-offs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features across our web, mobile, and backend systems, with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Take ownership of key systems from technical design through deployment and monitoring.

• Contribute to architecture decisions, design patterns, and development practices alongside the Tech Lead.

• Identify risks and technical debt in existing systems, and propose practical improvements.

• Work closely with fulfillment operations, business teams, and non-technical stakeholders, explaining technical trade-offs clearly.

• Review code and mentor other engineers, helping build a collaborative,  learning-oriented team.

• Use data and monitoring insights to diagnose issues and guide technical decisions.

• Understand our e-commerce and logistics domain, and look for ways technology can improve the customer and operations experience.

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js-based backend development.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience building and deploying applications on AWS or a similar cloud platform.
• A track record of owning features end to end and shipping them to production.
• Clear communication skills and comfort working with non-technical teammates.
• A problem-solving mindset and the ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React Native or shipping mobile apps to the App Store and Google Play.
• Experience with Shopify Liquid.
• Background in e-commerce, logistics, warehouse management, or delivery systems.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Sentry or CloudWatch.
