Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

Looking for an opportunity to build scalable software that supports high-volume, real-world transactions? This contract role is ideal for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys working on backend services, distributed systems, and cloud-based applications while partnering closely with product and engineering teams. • Compensation: This job is expected to be paid about $70-$80/Hr

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and payment automation features supporting high-volume transactions.
• Develop and integrate APIs and microservices while contributing to reliable, distributed software architectures.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business needs into practical technical solutions and development plans.
• Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, technical documentation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Help drive projects from technical design through development and delivery while evaluating trade-offs and maintain a focus on reliability and scalability.

What Gets You the Job:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background building scalable web applications and distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or TypScript/Node.js, with hands-on experience developing microservices and APIs.
• Experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, and SQS, along with automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD.
• Ability to collaborate across product and engineering teams, translate business needs into technical solutions, and drive projects through completion.
