Senior/ Staff Platform Engineer (Distributed Systems, High Volume, Greenfield Development, Remote)

Optomi in partnership with a leader in the logistics industry is seeking a highly motivated Senior/Staff Platform Engineer to help with greenfield development of multiple platforms focused around distributed systems, event driven architecture, system design, streaming platforms and more highly scalable big data environments.

Position Summary: As a Senior/Staff Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and operating distributed backend platform components that serve as the backbone for logistics optimization. You will contribute to transformation through automation of critical workflows, predictive analytics, AI-driven logistics, real-time visibility, and sustainability initiatives.

• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and data stores (SQL/NoSQL)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and incident management
