Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary:

• We are seeking experienced Senior Backend Engineers (Golang/Node.js) with 8–12 years of backend development experience to design, develop, and operate scalable, event-driven microservices.

• Work Location: Chennai – Siruseri or Olympia Tech Park, Guindy
• Notice Period: Immediate to 7 days from the date of the offer

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into clear specifications, API contracts, and implementation plans before coding.
• Design and build Go or Node.js microservices using REST, gRPC, and Kafka-based event-driven flows.
• Own non-functional requirements, including performance, reliability, observability, and security.
• Critically review AI-generated code and specifications and write tests that validate implementation against the specification.
• Mentor junior developers and improve engineering quality through code reviews.
• Take features from specification to production with minimal supervision .

Required Technical Skills:

• 8+ years of backend development experience, including at least 3 years of production experience in Go or Node.js, with working proficiency in the other.
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, asynchronous programming, and error handling in the primary language.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or equivalent messaging systems, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Docker/Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience operating production services, including incident debugging, performance tuning, and monitoring.
• Experience writing design documents, RFCs, or technical specifications before implementation.
• Ability to critically review and correct AI-generated code.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and workflows quickly.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• OAuth2/Keycloak experience.
• Experience with AI coding tools such as Copilot or Claude, or with spec/design-doc-driven workflows.
