Senior Software Engineer

We are partnering with a leading financial services organization seeking a Senior .NET Software Engineer to modernize legacy applications and build next-generation cloud-based platforms.

This role focuses on developing scalable applications used by Portfolio Managers, Risk Analysts, and Quantitative Researchers. You’ll work with modern technologies, contribute to architecture decisions, and develop solutions supporting investment analysis and portfolio risk management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using C# and .NET .
• Build cloud-native services, APIs, and distributed systems using AWS.
• Modernize existing applications and contribute to technical architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Apply modern engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience , with strong C# and .NET development skills.
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications using AWS or similar cloud platforms .
• Strong understanding of backend development, APIs, distributed systems, and application architecture.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with modern software engineering practices and collaborative development.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• React and/or Python
• PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or DynamoDB
• Financial services or investment technology experience

Additional Details

• Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite in Baltimore, 3 days remote .
