Senior Software Engineer (Contingent)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Contingent) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will focus on designing and delivering scalable software systems that support complex business and technical needs in a healthcare environment. The engineer will partner closely with stakeholders, technical leaders, and cross-functional teams to turn business goals into practical architecture and implementation plans. This is an opportunity to shape technical direction, improve system efficiency, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and ownership.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Implement scalable and resilient software systems based on technical roadmaps
• Execute agile value stream initiatives to meet business and technical goals
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to technical vision
• Review new technologies and tools to enhance system efficiency and scalability
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical requirements
• Support mid-level engineers and foster a culture of learning and ownership

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent required; M.S. preferred
• 8+ years of experience architecting and maintaining large-scale multi-tier web applications
• 5+ years of experience developing and managing JSON APIs
• Extensive knowledge of microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures
• Experience with containerization technology such as Docker and Kubernetes
