Senior Software Engineer (Continuous Integration)

• In this role, you will own the continuous integration systems that every software engineer at Zoox depends on. More than a thousand engineers depend on it every day, running thousands of CI builds every weekday against one of the largest monorepos in the industry. Our goal is to run them fast, reliably, and cost-efficiently as both the codebase and the organization grow
• You will work cross-functionally with various software teams as a force multiplier, finding where the build is slow or wasteful and fixing it at the platform level
• This is a critical role to squash inefficiencies in our development process, improve the development experience for everyone in the software organization, and ultimately help us scale our autonomous vehicle fleet to more riders and more cities
• Own CI performance, cost efficiency, and reliability end-to-end, at thousands of builds a day and growing
• Rethink CI failure analysis, triage, developer support, and incident response with modern AI tools, shifting first-line work off human on-call
• Work cross-functionally to find where integration slows down and fix it at the platform level, and enable teams to make their CI efficient and reliable
• Set the technical bar for how CI is built and operated, and mentor the engineers around you
