Senior Software Engineer, Data

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Data to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.

This role will focus on building and scaling data systems that turn product and operational data into reliable insights for internal stakeholders. You will partner closely with product managers, data analysts, and engineering leadership to translate requirements into execution and establish repeatable data architecture practices. The position also offers the opportunity to influence technical standards, improve automation, and help drive impactful initiatives across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $165,000 – $221,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and data analysts to create insights-oriented pipelines
• Translate product requirements into actionable execution plans
• Establish standard processes for data architecture that are replicable and automated
• Work with data leadership to promote impactful projects across the organization
• Guide and mentor peers on engineering best practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a data engineer or in a similar role with a focus on high code quality
• Expert in Python and fluent in SQL for developing data pipelines
• Experience designing end-to-end data pipelines and architecting solutions
• Hands-on experience with async systems such as APIs and streaming
• Strong product mindset and awareness of business impact
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with ML/AI application deployment and monitoring
