We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Management team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable software and data solutions while driving technical solutions for complex engineering problems. You will work across the software development lifecycle, building reliable applications, services, APIs, and data pipelines while adopting modern cloud-native and AI-assisted engineering practices. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, driving technical decisions, and taking ownership of solutions from design through production.

Your Role And Responsibilities As a Senior Software engineer, you will design, develop, test, and deliver offerings using leading-edge and/or proven technologies. You will work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand stakeholder requirements and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications, services, APIs, and data solutions.
• Own the design and implementation of complex, scalable, and reliable software and data solutions.
• Build reliable data processing, transformation, integration, and storage capabilities.
• Apply modern software engineering practices across the complete SDLC, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Leverage AI-assisted and agentic development practices to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, documentation, automation, and engineering workflows.
• Identify and drive adoption of AI-agent-based solutions to automate engineering and data management workflows.
• Build and maintain CI/CD, automation, observability, and monitoring capabilities to improve reliability and developer productivity.
• Apply cloud-native technologies and practices to build scalable and resilient systems.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and continuously improve performance, quality, security, and maintainability.
• Provide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with software, data, and platform engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to influence architecture, technical direction, and long-term solutions.

• Strong software engineering experience building scalable and maintainable applications or services.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, APIs, databases, software design, and architecture principles.
• Experience with SQL and relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience building data-intensive applications, services, or pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-native development, automation, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience or strong interest in AI-assisted development, AI agents, and Agentic SDLC.
• Strong experience designing and delivering complex, production-grade software systems.
• Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and ownership skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt emerging technologies.

The following experience is considered a plus

• Familiarity with open source or inner source development and processes.
