Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack

Responsibilities: - Lead the Design and Development: Architect, build, and deploy scalable, high-performance software solutions, covering both client-side and server-side applications. - Technical Leadership: Guide the squad in technical decision-making, ensuring the team follows best practices in code quality, design patterns, architecture, security, and performance. - Hands-On Engineering: Spend most of your time writing and reviewing code, designing APIs, and ensuring high-quality, maintainable software. - Full Stack Development: Build any necessary user interfaces in collaboration with our UX team, and develop well-functioning APIs and services. - Mentorship and Coaching: Support and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. - Cloud and Infrastructure: Deploy and manage applications on AWS using Terraform, Kubernetes, and containerised workloads. - Quality and Testing: Champion Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated testing, and CI/CD, ensuring deployments are secure and reliable. Requirements: - Tech stack - We use TypeScript (Node.js and React), AWS (EKS, Lambda, Aurora RDS), Kubernetes, GraphQL, Kafka, Mongo. You're comfortable with all of these and have extensive knowledge of JavaScript more generally, the AWS ecosystem, and running containerised applications. - API and Database Development - You have experience building and running robust, always-on APIs (both RESTful and GraphQL-based) and underlying services/apps, including the databases that underpin them. - Test-Driven Development - You're very familiar with testing frameworks such as Jest and Pact. - Cloud and DevOps - You can build, deploy and run your systems end-to-end, with no manual configuration or intervention. We use Terraform and Helm. - CI/CD - You have plenty of experience managing and configuring CI/CD pipelines (we use GitHub Actions) for deployments. Past Experience - You are currently a Senior Software Engineer, leading a small team. - Observability Mindset - You believe in measuring everything. You've worked with DataDog (or similar) to ensure your team has the necessary visibility into system health. - Tooling and Collaboration - Comfortable working with Git, Confluence, Jira, and modern engineering workflows. - Mentorship and Leadership - You've mentored engineers at all levels, providing guidance, reviewing designs, and ensuring your team stays on the right track. - Self-Starter and Problem-Solver - Ability to take a product challenge and develop a working technical solution, balancing pragmatism with engineering excellence. Company Summary At KredX, we are trying to solve the problem of access to much-needed working capital finance for Small & Medium sized Enterprises (SME) in India. Our solution for this involves building a platform for supply-chain financing, where investors can interact directly with borrowers, powered by state-of-the-art technology at its core. We are very much at the cutting edge of financial technology here in India! These are very early days but we are already seeing phenomenal traction and have been able to help a large set of businesses. Background: Indian financial market has been chronically bugged by two problems. On one side, MSMEs are struggling to keep their cash flow intact & need working capital to continue production while, on the other side, investors are looking for opportunities to invest in instruments that can provide them better returns in short term with relatively lower risk. Keeping the above problems in mind, KredX enables MSMEs to raise funds against their unpaid invoices or post-dated instruments from financiers. For SMEs, it's a platform where they can raise finance against their enormously valuable but ridiculously undervalued, unpaid invoices from their corporate customers and ride over the cash flow crisis created by dearth of working capital finance.
