Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack+SEO

About the Role:

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will build and maintain full-stack features spanning our Node.js/Java services and React frontends, with a strong focus on SEO performance, server-side rendering/pre-rendering, and page-level technical SEO. You'll work closely with the Lead Engineer and cross-functional SEO/marketing stakeholders to ship measurable improvements in organic and AI-driven discoverability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across React (frontend) and Node.js/Java (backend) services
• Implement and optimize SSR/pre-rendering, structured data (schema.org), meta tags, sitemaps, and other on-page technical SEO elements
• Diagnose and fix crawlability, indexing, and Core Web Vitals issues in collaboration with SEO stakeholders
• Contribute to AEO readiness ensuring content and page structure are well-formed for AI answer engines and LLM-based search
• Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Codex, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate day-to-day development while maintaining code quality and review discipline
• Write clean, tested, well-documented code and participate actively in code reviews
• Collaborate with product, design, and SEO teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

Must-Have Skills:

• Backend: Node.js (Express or equivalent) and Java (Spring Boot or equivalent)
• Frontend: React.js, Vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• SEO/AEO: Technical SEO fundamentals (crawlability, indexing, structured data/schema markup, Core Web Vitals, SSR/pre-rendering for bots) and awareness of emerging AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) practices for AI/LLM-driven search surfaces
• AI-assisted development: Comfortable working daily with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Codex-style tools to accelerate development, refactoring, and debugging
• Solid understanding of REST/API design and integration between frontend and backend services
• Strong debugging and performance-optimization skills (page load, rendering, API latency)

Good to Have:

• Basic working understanding of WordPress (themes, plugins, custom post types)
• Experience with GA4, Google Search Console, or similar analytics/SEO tooling
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
• Prior experience in a role with direct SEO/marketing stakeholder collaboration
